CUFSI was founded by Mary Roberts, experienced feng shui consultant and educator of over 30 years, to bring feng shui into student housing.

History: Mary’s work with students and their living spaces began in 2003 with a boarding school senior and her independent study on feng shui. The student’s life improved measurably shortly after making feng shui improvements to her room. Mary developed RoomChi™: Feng Shui for Residence Life to empower students to improve their lives at college by working with their living spaces. Mary has presented to hundreds of students visited over 100 occupied residence hall rooms in college and universities nationwide.

Present: From her interviews with students came the need to inform housing officials about certain aspects of the personal and academic impact that college housing has on residents and to offer additional perspectives for those who seek to support students through housing. CUFSI is the bridge between students and the professionals who build and maintain college housing.
